November 15th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Just before midnight, Lawrence Police were called to a disturbance reported to have involved a male subject who displayed a handgun. Police spoke to several witnesses, one of which advised the suspect was “waving a pistol in the air.” At least seven officers responded to the area of the call, which was at a business in the 2300 block of Iowa Street. The last I heard, regarding this situation, the male suspect was still at large, it does sound like Police know who they are looking for.

At 12:30 a.m., Lawrence Police were called to the 2500 block of Redbud Lane on reports of possible underage drinking and a noise complaint, both at the same apartment. Officers responded and did not locate anyone underage.

The rest of this morning’s activity was fairly normal for Douglas County. More noise complaints, a few disturbances and several vehicle stops.

None of the early morning activity resulted in any serious injuries.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on.
