Yet another pretty quiet overnight in Douglas County.

At 1:15 a.m. the National Weather Service office in Topeka issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Douglas county. Radar indicated a storm moving northeast that was capable of producing up to half dollar sized hail. The set to expire at 2 a.m. however, the National Weather Service determined that the hail core of the storm was going to stay west of Douglas County. The warning was canceled just after 1:30 a.m.

Police responded on most of the normal calls and activity including; disturbances, noise complaints and car stops. The overall calls for service seemed to be a little bit fewer and further between then they usually are. Nothing that involved any serious injuries.

There was only one call that involved a weapon, which was a knife and the subject reported to have been armed with it had left the area prior to Police even being called. There was an arrest for criminal trespassing about 4:30 a.m. this morning. Medics were requested to respond to check a subject with minor lacerations after a disturbance. The victim refused transport from the scene.
