A fairly normal weekend overnight this morning. Police did not respond on anything that was very out of the ordinary for Lawrence.

LPD responded on a battery in the 300 block of Maine Street just before 2 a.m. Officers arrived to find two people with injuries are immediately requested Fire/Medical respond. Medic crews arrived on scene and treated both subjects, one of the subjects did suffer serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for further treatment. The injury was not considered life threatening.

Police also responding on what seems like a large number of noise complaints, disturbances, suspicious pedestrian checks and suspicious vehicle checks.
