June 29th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Back to another quiet night in Douglas County. Most of the overnight activity was the fairly normal kind of things, car stops, a few disturbances and noise complaints.

Lawrence Police and Fire/Medical were called to the 1600 block of Barker Avenue around 1:45 a.m. on reports of a single vehicle accident. The caller stated that the vehicle’s door was damaged and the driver was unable to exit the vehicle because of that. Police arrived and were able to get the driver out of the vehicle. Officers advised that the subject’s injuries were minor and requested Fire/Medical to downgrade their response to non emergency.
