The night started fairly quietly for Lawrence Police. A few animal complaints, numerous car stops, several small disturbances and a few alarm calls.

Just before 1 a.m. Police went out on a Bar Check in the 600 block of Massachusetts Street and almost immediately were confronted by several subjects that were actively fighting. The Officer on scene called for immediate back up to respond and the situation was quickly back under control. Reports from that scene were that one person was taken into Police custody.

Police also responded on a non injury accident in the 2200 block of Barker Avenue just before 4 a.m.

A possible residential burglary in progress was reported just before 5 a.m., that situation ended up being a domestic disturbance situation.

No serious injuries of any kind or incidents involving weapons were reported overnight.
