June 12th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

The nice weather seemed to be getting to people in Lawrence overnight. There were countless calls involving suspicious activity. A few of which included subjects in a fountain and subjects in an apartment complex pool after hours.

The most interesting call of the night was a report of two intoxicated male subjects that were running around with Tiki torches that were lit and according to one of the callers the men were pretending that they were starting parked cars on fire. Police responded to search the area and were unable to locate the subjects. No damage was found to any vehicles in the area.

Lawrence Police also made numerous car stops and made a few DUI arrests. There was a large number of noise complaints as well as disturbances. No serious injuries were reported with any of the overnight activity in Douglas County.
