June 11th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Shortly before Midnight Lawrence Police were called to respond to the 800 block of Massachusetts Street on reports of an intoxicated male subject that was yelling at passing vehicles. The man was described as being “dressed as a cowboy”.

The majority of the overnight hours were fairly routine calls. Car stops, disturbances, noise complaints, intoxicated person complaints and a few field sobriety tests resulting in arrests.

Around 3 a.m. the online scanner that I use to monitor Douglas County Law Enforcement went down. I am located just slightly outside range to reliably monitor Douglas County Law Enforcement without a highly directional antenna however, that is not in the current budget. I do monitor LDCFM with equipment, that I physically own and control, they were all quiet besides a few medical calls all the way up until 6 a.m.
