July 8th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up
At least two more fireworks complaints overnight. Again, one of those was reported to Police as a report of gunshots heard in the area. Police responded on both and were not able to catch up with the people responsible for firing off the fireworks. Police also responded on a report of gunshots heard in the 1400 block of Kasold Drive.
LPD responded on a fair number of disturbances, several noise complaints and numerous car stops.
This morning just after 6 a.m., a Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy on routine patrols reported that he had two subjects on foot that were running from him in the 1300 block of North 1250 Road. The two subject initially ran eastbound through a field and just a minute or two later, they walked back to the Deputy’s vehicle. Deputies are still on scene as of 6:30 a.m. and it remains unclear why the subjects ran.
Like I have included in the blog in the past, the activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on. To see a complete list of Lawrence Police activity, the department has that available on their website.
