December 26th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Shortly after 2:15 a.m., Lawrence Police were called to the area of 23rd and Ridge Court to receive a report of a stolen vehicle. The caller reported that the theft had occurred within the past 20 minutes, and Law Enforcement throughout Douglas County had the vehicle's license plate information for the car. A few short minutes later a Deputy reported that he was following that vehicle, westbound on Highway 40, just west of K-10. The vehicle pulled off of Highway 40 and into a private driveway where the two occupants were arrested without incident.

Police in Lawrence also responded on a disturbance, a non injury accident and an alarm.

None of this mornings activity involved the use of any weapons or resulted in any serious injuries.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on.
