August 15th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

A very quiet Sunday night in Douglas county. Lawrence Police received two complaints of reckless and/or possibly intoxicated drivers around 10:30 p.m. Police located one of the vehicles, which ended up being a college student who was lost and simply needed directions. The other vehicle was not able to be located.
LPD conducted a number of vehicle stops and responded on mainly the every night calls. Noise complaints, burglary alarms, and a few battery calls.
Shortly after 4 a.m. Police were called to the 700 block of Vermont after a caller advised of subjects spraying graffiti on a building. The caller followed the subjects involved for a short time and ended up losing sight of them just before Police were able to catch up. Police checked the area and it did not sound like they found damage to any buildings in the area.
The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on. To see a complete list of Lawrence Police activity, the department has that available on their website along with several easy to use maps that show approximate locations for Police activity.
