Quiet, Rainy Friday

Another pretty quiet overnight for Lawrence Police this morning. The rain seems to have cooled most everyone down last night as there seemed to be fewer than usual disturbances around the city. All in a a pretty good thing to hear less of.

Officers were called to investigate several burglar alarms. Most sounded to have been caused by the windy weather overnight.

LPD did make the normal suspicious vehicle stops, traffic stops and responded on a couple noise complaints throughout the city.

Just before 3 a.m. KU Police received a report of 2 men walking near the 1300 Block of Crescent Drive carrying crowbars and dressed in dark clothing. Officers responded and caught up with the 2 just off of campus. LPD responded as well and both men were found that have done nothing wrong, only handled as a suspicious person report.
