Another quiet night

Another quiet night in Lawrence. Police again did not respond to anything very out of the ordinary.

LPD was called, twice, to the 1600 Block of Haskell to “investigate things in the air”. This is an almost nightly occurrence for Police. They get the call, an officer responds and whatever it may be that the caller thinks he/she is seeing has disappeared before officers arrive.

Police did respond on the normal disturbance calls and made a few suspicious vehicle stops. Again, nothing that seemed out of the ordinary to me.

Pretty good chance for some thunderstorms in the Douglas County area after about 4 p.m. into the evening and overnight hours. The better threat seems to have moved into the southeast Kansas Area as of this mornings National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center’s 6 a.m. update.
