Quiet Wednesday morning & an intersection closed for water line replacement

Quiet is best way to describe Lawrence overnight. LPD did not have any out of the ordinary calls for service.

Officers did respond on a reported disturbance in the 600 Block of Massachusetts Street just before 2 a.m. Four units responded to the call and it ended up sounding extremely minor. No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.

Shortly before 4 a.m., LPD responded to contact a subject that had been assaulted in the 4500 Block of Wimbledon Drive. LDCFM also responded and treated the subject for his injuries at the scene. No information on a suspect was broadcast.

All in all it has been very quiet lately.

And for those who may find the information useful. The intersection of 7th Street and Indiana Street will be closed until 5:30 p.m. today for water line replacement. This is according to information provided over the radio to LDCFM and LPD Units
