• Gill showed some excitement when he said he was ready for this game against Missouri. This game is for the fans, players and alumni.

• Gill’s keys to the game: 1. Win turnover margin; 2. Get James Sims over 100 yards rushing.

• Gill’s daughter has told him about the Missouri rivalry. Fans also have told him about the significance.

A win against Missouri would help KU when it looks back on its season. KU originally set its goals to win the Big 12 North, so one win wouldn’t make everything better. Still, winning a rivalry game would help KU move forward with the program for next year.

Jordan Webb will start at quarterback for KU. He’s 100-percent healthy now.

Gill was asked to evaluate his quarterbacks. Jordan Webb needs to work on consistency and staying in the gameplan of the offense. He has the arm strength. Quinn Mecham needs to get stronger with his arm strength. He understands the offense and is good at making some plays by scrambling. The coaches will have to evaluate whether Kale Pick stays at another position or goes back to quarterback next year.

KU offensive lineman Sal Capra is questionable. Unless something sets him back, he will play against Missouri.

KU defensive lineman D.J. Marshall will practice in full pads for the first time today.

Gill says he does the dishes on Thanksgiving. He joked that he can’t even boil water, so he leaves the cooking to someone else.
