Winter is hanging on with yet another bitter swing! The middle part of the week is going to bring high temperatures in the low to mid 20’s with single digit lows for the nights as another arctic airmass slides into America’s breadbasket.

The latest push of cold air will also bring a stout northwest wind between 10-20 mph with gusts near 30 on Tuesday which will keep the wind chill value near or even below zero during the day, and about -10° or lower Tuesday evening.

While temperatures continue to be in the 20’s for Wednesday, you can expect more sun and less wind to slowly bring the mercury up on the thermometer. Our highs by the end of the week are only expected to be in the mid 30’s with very slim chances for precipitation.
