An Easter Weekend Outlook

The last several Easter Sundays have been all over the board weather-wise. Looking back over the last three years was interesting to say the least.

Here are the particulars through 2007:
April 12, 2009 – High – 50° Low – 40° Rain: 0.64 inches
March 23, 2008 – High – 49° Low – 26° Rain: None
April 8, 2007 – High – 46° Low – 17° (A record low) Rain: None

We can see anything this time of year in Kansas. Record cold temperatures to heavy rain to the possibility of severe storms. The image of snow covering the ground a couple of weeks ago comes to mind as well (and makes me shudder a bit).

This year is unfolding a little different on the weather front. Showers are likely for the first part of your Saturday as a massive system works across Kansas leaving our high around 62°. Look for your Easter Sunday to be packed with sunshine for the afternoon with a morning low around 44° with sunrise at 7:01. Our daytime high looks WELL above par with a high of 71° (average for this time of year is 64°).

We hope you have a great weekend, and be sure to send us photos to LJWorld.com/weatherphotos.
