Showdown weather looking up

Weather Watch ...from the A.M.

The weather has a history (at least for the past two years) of being cold and miserable for the Border Showdown.

November 29, 2008 @ 11:30 a.m. in Kansas City: light snow and temperatures in the middle 30s.

November 24, 2007 @ 7 p.m. in Kansas City: the light snow from the morning ended in time for the game, but temperatures were in the middle 20s.

We have to go back to 2006 for a game with decent weather.

November 25, 2006 @ 11 a.m. in Columbia: partly cloudy and temperatures in the lower to middle 60s.

If you are heading to the Border Showdown to watch the Kansas Jayhawks take on the Missouri Tigers, you will be happy to hear the weather will be beautiful. You can expect mostly sunny skies with winds out of the southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Temperatures will be in the middle 50s by 11:30 a.m., in the lower 60s by 2:30 p.m. and only in the middle 50s by 5:30 p.m. Afternoon highs are expected to warm into the lower to middle 60s!
