Wet pattern sets up again
After a brief break in the rain this past weekend, we’re back to a wetter, spring-like weather pattern.
We’ll have several chances for showers throughout the week, though rain is not expected to be widespread or heavy. Today, most of the showers are to our south, although we could see a sprinkle or light shower through the night. Our best chance for rain and thunderstorms arrive on Thursday and continue into Friday morning.
Somewhat relatedly, the Army Corps of Engineers increased the outflow from Perry Lake Monday, resulting in more water pouring out of the dam and farther downstream in place like Lawrence.
Even with our many rain chances this week, river levels are still expected to remain below the action stage.
