It seems like every weekend lately has been cold or wet, and this weekend will fall right into that category.

The latest weather data streaming into the weather center shows that showers will begin developing in time for all of you night owls. Quick showers and storms will be possible after midnight and early into Saturday morning. Near the noon hour rain stop and we’ll start to dry out before the next round of storms develop late in the afternoon and evening.

The beginning of Sunday could be a little damp as well, especially for the first half of the day. The second half of Sunday looks to be chilly but nice with the storm clearing out.

Here’s the good news: The extended models hint at a much warmer next week. Some models are predicting 80 degree or warmer temperatures. At this point I don’t expect it get quite that warm, but it’s in the realm of possibility here in northeast Kansas.
