Thursday Storms?
The last couple weeks we’ve been watching the weather pattern and the jetstream stay in the northern plains (which is a common migration as we head into summer).Last week’s storm outbreaks were mainly in the high plains and upper midwest, and rain the last couple days has soaked regions from Missouri through Iowa and Wisconsin. As we look ahead through this week, a similar pattern is setting up again.Right now, an upper level low pressure system associated with the jetstream is swirling in the northern Rocky Mountains. The jetstream associated with that low will cause storms to pop up Wednesday for Nebraska and the Dakotas and then Thursday from Iowa through Wisconsin, and also into Kansas. Our best chance for storms this week is with a wave of the jetstream pushing through the Central Plains on Thursday night.
