Dolly’s Leftovers In Lawrence
Hurricane Dolly was an impressive storm the first time it crossed the United States border dropping as much as 18 inches of estimated rainfall in select areas of south Texas. The storm, of course, lost all of the hurricane characteristics as it crossed onto land, but that didn’t stop the remnants of Dolly from dropping heavy rain on us on Wednesday morning.
- Here are the numbers as of 10:00 AM on Wednesday:
- Monday: 0.11 inches of rain
- Tuesday: 0.09 inches of rain
- Wednesday: 1.66 inches of rain
These are impressive rain amounts, but our heaviest downpour came in one shot between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM with 1.58 inches of rain falling in those 3 hours.
