Pickup vs. sorority house gets national attention

¢ The pickup that slammed into the Kansas University Chi Omega sorority house over the weekend got a mention on the Web site of [U.S. News & World Report][1]¢ A KU professor who previously founded a Web project, Conabio, that listed all 70,000 animal species in Mexico is quoted in a [Canadian Broadcasting Corporation][2] story about the Encyclopedia of Life, which will attempt to list and describe all 1.8 million known species in the world."They are going to do something extremely ambitious and important," said Conabio's founding director, Jorge Soberon, now a professor at the University of Kansas.¢ A KU graduate has been named chancellor at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, according to [a TV report in Omaha.][3] John E.
