A 46-year-old man's hearing aid stolen Monday

Law enforcement report Burglaries and thefts reported ¢ A 46-year-old Lawrence man reported a hearing aid and two batteriens in a black leather case were stolen between Monday and Wednesday from the 2200 block of West Sixth Street. The total loss is estimated at $1,200. ¢ A 27-year-old Lawrence man reported the hood and top of a vehicle was damaged between April 5 and May 14 in the 1000 block of Massachusetts Street. The estimated loss is $7,500. ¢ A white jewelry box and jewelry, including a seven-diamond anniversary band, along with a Nikon digital camera were reported stolen. The crime occurred between May 4 and Wednesday in the 2000 block of East 19th Street. The estimated loss is $1,910. ¢ A 34-year-old Lawrence woman reported a 14-karat gold marquis channel diamond engagement ring and anniversary ring were stolen between May 1 and May 10 from the 4000 block of West Sixth Street. The estimated loss is $5,800. ¢ A 28-year-old Lawrence man reported an auto burglary and theft to Lawrence police Tuesday. Two CD cases and 100 CDs were reported stolen from the 2400 block of West 25th Street. The estimated loss is $1,540.

"batterians...people who live in new york, in "the battery?" the mass st. car vandalism...think I know when that happened! [celebration!]sure a lot of thefts! that is pretty low to snatch a guy's hearing aid and batteries. of course, if it had been in his ear, the crime would be more serious, wouldn't?
