Lawrence police investigate gunfire

Law enforcement report¢ Lawrence police are investigating an aggravated assault reported by a 36-year-old Lawrence woman Monday. The woman told police that a 32-year-old Lawrence man had discharged a handgun after the two had an argument about 10 p.m. Monday in the 3100 block of West 22nd Street. The suspect and the victim, who was not injured, know each other, police said.¢ Lawrence Police were called at 5:25 a.m. Tuesday to the Greens-At-Alvamar, 3700 Clinton Parkway, in response to three males were attempting to break a vending machine. Officers detained a 13-year-old male suspect at the scene and later detained another 13-year-old male suspect. Police are still seeking a 15-year-old suspect.¢ Excavating equipment owned by an Ottawa company performing utility work in the 5800 block of Harvard Road was spray-painted during the weekend, according to Victor Mitchell, Mitchell’s Construction of Ottawa owner. Damage was estimated at $2,000. The incident occurred between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.Burglaries and thefts reported¢ A 22-year-old Lawrence man reported the loss of a 1977 gold Oldsmobile Delta 88 Monday.
