Why no citations.
Unlesss the bike was traveling at an incredible speed the car has to be at fault - and caused serious injury.

Wow, this is in addition to the motorcycle accident I saw at 23rd and Louisiana last night.

Centrist 9 years, 11 months ago

I agree. It's that "Pearson's" intersection. It seems as though the car had to have been at fault. I guess it will all come out at some point.

That crossing is deadly - people seem willing to risk driving blindly across it every single day. I see people take stupid chances on it each morning as I come in to work.

It is advisable to take EXTRA caution when approaching that intersection from any direction, day or night.

doc1 9 years, 11 months ago

it probably was her fault. And if she did work at pearson then its likely she did not have insurance.

ashultz 9 years, 11 months ago

doc1 - what is THAT supposed to mean? All of those intersections crossing K10 are extremely dangerous. Only a few more fatalities and/or near-fatalities and perhaps the City will see that the speed limit needs to be lowered and, oh, stop lights would be nice.

What was the "coroner scene investigation" about? Did we have another suicide?

Laura Watkins 9 years, 11 months ago

i'm guessing that's the yellow sub address...

guesswho 9 years, 11 months ago

That was probably the death at the (former) Yellow Sub

At least it explains what the cause of the power outage was this morning...missed the Tour de France coverage, darn it.

I am SOOO glad that you looked her up on myspace, thats hilarious! Not the incident, just that she actually posted those pictures of herself for the whole world to see, free of charge. Let's hope the gentleman is ok, my thoughts are with him and those who love him.

This seems kinda cold and i assure you i dont mean it that way....but dammit people are dropping like flies in Douglas County this month.

Christian Hinton 9 years, 11 months ago

I agree with gerbilsniper...dropping like flies indeed.

That's an incredibly sweeping and judgmental comment, Doc1, regarding the insurance status of someone who potentially works at Vangent. Btw, the company is no longer called Pearson, just FYI. In the meantime, we should be thinking and praying/hoping for the injured rider. Let's hope he pulls through.

The intersection out there is under State control, not City, or the speed limit would've been dropped to 45 long ago.

I find it amazing that so many people are judgemental, and that they take the time to look someone up on myspace like that. I feel bad for the rider, but where was his helmet? And did anyone think to consider how Lillian might be feeling? That maybe she's feeling downright terrible about what happened? Wait for the authorities to investigate before you judge someone.
