Douglas County Sheriff’s officers are looking for a stolen race car.The car, a 1977 Pontiac Ventura, was taken sometime between Jan. 30 and Feb. 2, according to sheriff’s report. The owner was identified as Donald Higgins.The car, valued at $10,000, was last seen on property at 2100 East 500 Road.Painted blue, the car had been converted into a racer and has several high-performance parts, according to the sheriff’s office. Anyone who has information about the car is asked to call 785-843-TIPS.
