Plea made in Lecompton murder

![][1]A Topeka man pleaded guilty today to the murder of 77-year-old Lecompton resident Clarence David Boose.Leonard Wayne Price, a repeat burglar nicknamed "Battle Axe," made the plea after admitting he broke into Boose's residence, a burglary in which Boose was shot once in the head. In exchange for the plea, the state dropped the underlying charge of aggravated burglary, and Price agreed to testify in any further court proceedings in Boose's murder.Although no other charges have yet been filed, Price in court today implicated his cousin, Allen D. Smith, as the man who shot Boose during the April 2005 burglary. [1]: http://worldonline.media.clients.ellingtoncms.com/img/photos/2006/09/02/Price_leonard_t180.jpg

Don't breakins usually occur when the occupants are gone?

I use to know this man. I'm confused in his actions. He was a real nice man, good at heart and sincere. I fell sorry for the family and the man he shot. He did a bad thing but remember hate is a sin, forgiveness is the key to your soul.

Sorry brandi...nice people don't shoot the elderly in the head!!! Get real lady, you forgive someone when they cut in line at the grocery store, not commit capital murder! I'm sorry but people with your view of forgiveness are part of what's wrong with the world today...those who commit unthinkable crimes should pay dearly for what they do. Eye for an eye...this is in the Bible. This man would be sentenced to death by firing squad if there were any justice in our country. Stiffer penalties may also deter violent crime, anyone ever think of that???

Burglary is when the people are not there; Aggravated Burglary (the charge they agreed to drop for the plea) is when the people are there.
