Kansas University steam tunnels damaged

Law enforcement report¢ An unknown suspect or suspects spray-painted graffiti on walls and equipment inside the Kansas University steam tunnels over the summer. The damage amount is unknown. The crime occurred between 7:30 a.m. June 24 and 8 a.m. Friday. Emergency callsLawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical reported the following responses:¢ Gasoline or other flammable liquid spill, 5:21 p.m. Sunday, East 100 and North 850 roads.¢ Downed power line, 12:47 p.m. Monday, 2957 Four Wheel Rd.¢ Gas leak, 5:23 p.m. Monday, 3309 W. 13th St.¢ Small deck fire, 5:29 p.m. Monday, 4301 Wimbledon Terrace.¢ Chemical hazard/report of gas odor, 7:39 p.m. Monday, 2449 W. 24th Terrace.

steam tunnels...well just paint them with that new fangled paint-resistant paint...or install some of that fence-wire they use for rebar in sidewalks over the top of the steampipe...about a 6-8 inch buffer away for the pipe..its cheap...i have seen it installed before to keep kids off the pipes...
