The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an alleged stabbing in the 1100 block of East 1264 Road.The investigation began after sheriff’s officers arrived at Lawrence Memorial Hospital just after midnight today, where two Lawrence-area men had been admitting with “cutting wounds,” department spokeswoman Lt. Kari Wempe said.Wempe said the incident happened at a residence, and police dispatchers indicated that the stabbing happened during a party.Wempe said police were still gathering information late this morning.- Ron Knox contributed this report.
