KU Alumni Association seeking legislative help

The Kansas University Alumni Association, in tandem with KU’s Government Relations and University Relations staff, has developed a tool to reach legislators in what is shaping up to be a difficult 2009 Kansas legislative session.According to a Web site for the program, Jayhawks for Higher Education, the association is asking its members to join a group that will write legislators on behalf of the university.E-mail reminders will be sent to members of the group during the legislative session asking them to write their lawmakers to promote KU’s 2009 legislative agenda. The program’s Web site provides access to a state legislative directory along with contact information for local and federal officials in Kansas, too.
