KU professor blogging from Iraq

A Kansas University professor is offering a peek into Iraq at a blog set up to follow his travels there.Burdett Loomis, a political science professor, is in Iraq at the invitation of the State Department to share his knowledge of U.S. government and the Obama administration.He is scheduled to speak to faculty and staff at three universities, the Kurdistan National Assembly and the Iraqi minister of higher education. Loomis has previously gone on State Department trips to China, Malaysia and Singapore.Loomis is set to be in Iraq for two weeks. On Tuesday, he posted from Erbil, Iraq, the capital of the country’s Kurdistan Region.
