KU students meet Warren Buffett

Members of Kansas University’s Finance Club recently got the chance to travel to Omaha and visit with billionaire investor Warren Buffett.Students had two hours to glean information from the Berkshire Hathaway CEO on topics like the stimulus package, playing bridge, how to run a business and marriage.Buffett also took a moment to pose with his KU football jersey, which, by my estimation, looks quite a bit longer than most football jerseys, but I will be the first to admit my potential ignorance of such things.http://worldonline.media.clients.ellingtoncms.com/img/blogs/entry_img/2009/Feb/13/Buffett_with_KU_shirt.JPGStudents said that Buffett was approachable and that the experience was beneficial.”I was very nervous, but soon found out that he is very down-to-earth, relaxed and jovial,” finance student Ashley Mose said in a news release. “The combination of humor and intelligence that Mr. Buffett possesses is incredible, and I have not met anyone like him.”KU students’ expenses for the trip were provided by School of Business alum, Scott Jones, of Prairie Wind Capital.
