Now that the turkey and stuffing have been gobbled up, many will turn their thoughts to the upcoming Christmas season.And the Kansas Historical Society is featuring a Christmas ornament that marks the 2008 Kansas University men’s basketball championship.The ornament is headed to Washington, D.C., where it will hang on the Kansas Christmas tree near the National Christmas tree. The ornament is the latest in a series of designs created by Topeka artist Anita Wolgast, who has designed many different ornaments for the official Christmas tree since 1981.
