Time magazine cites Perkins as among best sports executives

Time Magazine is asking readers to rank the 35 best and worst sports executives of 2008.And guess who’s the only college sports administrator to make an appearance? Kansas University Athletic Director Lew Perkins.Perkins finds himself in company with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and vice president of FIFA Julio Grondona. Each executive is given a list of pros and cons. Perkins’ pros? He has more than doubled the athletics department’s budget to $55 million over the past five years.His con?
