Sebelius headlines Obama event at KU

Sen. Barack Obama, Democratic presidential candidate, sent two more of his surrogates through Lawrence today to rally supporters in advance of Tuesday’s Democratic caucuses.Former South Dakota Sen. Tom Daschle swung through Lawrence on Thursday. Addressing a mostly blue, mostly friendly crowd at Kansas University’s Woodruff Auditorium, Sebelius and Doyle implored KU students to turn out on caucus day despite the forecasted bad weather.Obama set up his Kansas office in October and has had more than a dozen staffers in the state since then. Sebelius and Doyle, citing their experience in governance, told the crowd they believed in Obama because of his priorities and – stealing a line from Hillary Clinton’s camp – his ability to lead from day one.The two also drew comparisons between Obama, and former President John F.
