On Tuesday, Rep. Nancy Boyda offered high praise for Kansas University’s Wounded Warrior Initiative. The comments came in remarks to the House of Representatives. Boyda, a Democrat, described the programs quick inception and then had this to say about how glad she was to see the program come to life.”I am so pleased that these two great institutions have come together to provide a way for wounded soldiers who may not be able to return to battle the ability to continue to serve their country. I congratulate both the Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth for their initiative and I invite my colleagues to do the same,” she said.KU spokeswoman Jill Jess said the remarks were entirely Boyda’s own initiative and that the university was grateful for Boyda’s support, as well as that of other members of Congress from Kansas.
