Remember my last post about Olathe resident/former Jayhawk Jennifer Bertrand who was a finalist on HGTV’s Design Star? Well, scratch finalist and replace it with winner.Amid a snowfall of confetti Bertrand Sunday was named HGTV’s next design star after viewers voted between the two remaining finalists.Bertrand received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Kansas University.Bertrand told HGTV that when her name was announced as the winner, she “went into shock.””And then there was all this confetti and your heart is popping out of your dress, it’s like crazy,” she said. “I think I’m still in shock.”Bertrand will host her own show on HGTV.
