KU Chancellor Robert Hemenway and Provost Richard Lariviere thought they’d escaped their Monday morning briefing with the Kansas Board of Regents without any problems.Then regent Janie Perkins spoke up. She wanted to know about an e-mail she’d received, with a picture of a caveman holding a KU degree.Perkins wanted to know: Is KU really so easy a caveman can do it?Of course it was a joke, intended to lighten the mood during the regents’ daylong visit to the KU Lawrence campus.
