E-mail to KU students a big misunderstanding

An e-mail circulating among KU students late Monday night was the result of a band promoting it’s new CD, said KU spokeswoman Lynn Bretz.According to Bretz, a student saw someone drawing symbols on the sidewalk outside Lewis Hall, accompanied by the date 10-23-07. The student concluded the symbol was related to windows that were shot out at Lewis Hall. Actually, Bretz said, the KU Public Safety Office concluded Monday that the symbols are of the band Coheed and Cambria and its new album, No World for Tomorrow, which was released today.UPDATE: A KU spokeswoman points out that the windows in Lewis Hall were not shot out but merely had holes shot through them.
