BORDER WAR GAMEDAY: Watching ESPN's GameDay, live in the parking lot
_Jonathan Kealing is headed to today's KU-MU tilt at Arrowhead -- not as a reporter, but as a fan. Nonetheless, he graciously agreed to blog the experience. Here's Part 3._ESPN just did a nice feature on Oklahoma State's Martel Van Zant, the outstanding receiver who is deaf. The crowd was more respectful during that segment than any other all day. Also, White Owl, KU's senior citizen hippie has arrived. When the crowd saw him, a cheer erupted. The snow has slackened but flurries continue. So far though, it doesn't seem to be affecting the crowd. The media throng here is impressive. In addition to ESPN, there are numerous print and TV photographers as well. Several radio stations are set up as well. After GameDay ends, we'll be checking out the College Basketball Experience at the Sprint Center. It's not that we care about basketball right now, we just have to find something to do to kill time.
