Karin Feltman has arrived in Haiti for a week long mission to one of the poorest and neediest parts of Port-au-Prince, the Carrefour neighborhood. Karin’s sister Kim Banning-Bohmann sent out an e-mail to friends and family Wednesday afternoon sharing a text message that Karin had sent.
“Gunshots very close to our med tent. May have to evacuate. Send prayers! ,” the text message read.
Other than that, Feltman said the clinic is going well. And, her French is “coming in handy” as there are few translators.
