Football beat writer Matt Tait had a story today on how Kansas coaches are trying to keep everything as simple as possible for red-shirt freshman quarterback Jordan Webb. The idea is to take the pressure off such a young player in the most important position on the field.

Webb has completed 60.4 percent of his passes (very solid for a first-year QB) with 376 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Good ratio.

He’s taken way too many sacks (10), but it appears the Jayhawks have their quarterback of the future.

And he’s not afraid to light up defenders.

I was surfing YouTube today and found a highlight that many of our KUsports.com readers figure to enjoy.

You may have seen it against Georgia Tech, but Webb puts a Yellow Jackets linebacker on the ground. If you don’t remember it or didn’t see the game, check this out:

Jacked up.

I suppose there won’t be too many questions about Webb’s toughness.

That should be all for now. If you’re not subscribing to my YouTube channel or following me on Twitter for Big 12 updates, hit me up over there.

Enjoy the games in week 4. And as always, discuss.
