Just read that Huelskamp and the other three KS House members voted "NO" against the Sandy hurricane relief package! This after the state of KS received how much relief support for Greensburg tornado??? When are the citizens of KS going to rise up and denounce these idiots and vote them out of office? (BTW, all 67 "no" votes were cast by Republicans).

If they had been Kansas legislators in 2007-08 would they have tried to block the legislation that provided $32 million in State funds to Greensburg? I don't remember if the approx. $80+ million from the feds required Congressional approval. I wonder if Huelskamp & Friends believe that Greensburg should have turned down the federal money? What would Greensburg look like today without that State and federal aid?

Neidermeyer: Dress that line. Dress that line, mister! Dress that line, soldier. Mister, hold my mount. [to Flounder] You fat, disgusting slob! You're a goddamned disgrace! Boon: [watching from afar] A vicious mother, isn't he? Otter: He can't do that to our pledges. Boon: Only we can do that to our pledges. Neidermeyer: [to Flounder] Redo those buttons! Dress that belt buckle! Straighten that cap! And goddamn it, tuck up those pajamas! Attention! Eyes front! What's that on your chest, mister? Flounder: It's a pledge pin, sir. Neidermeyer: A pledge pin! On your uniform? Just tell me, mister, what fraternity would pledge a man like you? Flounder: It's a Delta pin, sir.

All Kansas reps voted no as well. Send an email to these losers.

Republicans have used right wing populism to get elected for decades. Now that they have empowered it, it is taking over.
Something about chickens coming home to roost, playing with the bull and getting the horns, laying with dogs and getting fleas.
Tea, anyone? I'll have popcorn!

Boehner is by no means a moderate. Instead, he is the quintessential Conservative Republican. Anyone who thinks he is not conservative enough is a far out, deranged crazy man. .
Nice to know we have a few of these folks in Kansas . Job creator magnets, I 'm sure.

I don't know if the "no" votes had anything to do with the pork that was added to the bill. my understanding was that there was money for NASA and money for someplace in Mississippi or Alabama in the bill. Let me be clear that I am not defending a no vote, okay?

The bill that just went through the House was strictly to FEMA for flood insurance. That's the bill they voted "no" on.
The "pork" claims are over the much larger relief package that Boehner killed in the House by not bringing to a vote before the last session ended. That's the one that had Christ Christie tearing him a new one.

I would vote "no" on a bill to give people money to pay for a loss for which they could easily have purchased insurance. FEMA won't come into a place where people are half-way responsible -- like Harveyville, where they said too many people had insurance. We only give free money for those who make themselves wholly and irresponsibly dependent on government.
If you have a house, buy insurance. If your house is damage or destroyed, reach for your homeowner's policy, not my wallet.
