Bishop Seabury boys cruise past Christ Preparatory Academy

After a slow start, the Bishop Seabury boys basketball team cruised to an 84-33 victory over Christ Preparatory Academy on Monday night.

Joao Carlos Ramirez provided a huge spark off the bench for the Seahawks, scoring a season-high 26 points in the win. Bishop Seabury (No. 10 in Class 2A) outscored its opposition by a 31-4 margin in the second period, which proved to be the difference. Stavian Jones and Zach Bloch each finished with 20 points for the Seahawks.

“Proud that we got some good minutes from some boys off the bench,” head coach Jonathan Raney said. “Still plenty to work on, but we have a few days of practice to continue to improve and gain some more confidence heading into the postseason.”

Bishop Seabury plays host to Pembroke on Thursday night.

Bishop Seabury (84)
