Why is there not any police information in the "On the Record" section when there is fire and ambulance information printed there?
There is police information in the On the Record column that appears daily on page 2B of the Journal-World, usually under the heading of "Burglaries and Thefts Reported." Many police calls are reported elsewhere in the newspaper if the information merits more than the brief mention it can be given in On the Record.
Because sirens and lights are used for most fire and ambulance calls, they are listed to help readers learn what was happening. Many police calls are not made with lights and sirens, and many calls are not emergencies.
