Rachel Nixon and Michael McNulty, both of Topeka, announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Patricia Nixon, Omaha, Neb., and the late Stephen Nixon. She is a 1997 graduate of Bryan High School and is studying for a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Washburn University. She is a legal secretary for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
The future groom is the son of Judy and Tom McNulty, Lawrence. He is a 1995 graduate of Eudora High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in earth sciences from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is the operations director for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment’s Center for Public Health Preparedness.
The couple plan a June 13, 2009, wedding at Mater Dei Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka.
