Meadowlark ribbon cutting: The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 30 for Meadowlark Estates Retirement Community, 4430 Bauer Farm Estates, in Lawrence. Forty-three Chamber members were present, including commissioner Hugh Carter, Lon Dehnert, Tom Kern, Meredithe McCormick and Adam Handshy. A grand opening is scheduled for Oct. 2.
