“My grandma and I used to go to the library and checkout 10 books. Then we’d go home and read the first page and send back all the ones we didn’t like and spend the rest of the day reading the ones we did.”

Its been two weeks since I was at the library, but my fondest memory of that time is the teen girl that came in with some other teens and she was carrying a skateboard. I told her how glad I was to see a girl with a skateboard and she said thank you. I consider skateboarding and slopestyle snowboarding to be extremely cool.

I remember when the library was at the corner of 9th and Vermont and it had one of those iron staircases that curl around and around. I was going to KU at that time.
