They have as much historical significance as dirt roads. Zero. Ugly, expensive to repair and maintain, and they wreak havoc on a car. Drive on Vermont St. between 21st and 22nd, then tell me you want to preserve that mess. After you put your teeth back in.

Try riding down New Jersey Street in a bus. I say replace every brick street in town with asphalt or concrete. At this point we do not have money to spend on sentimental items.
