Do you think the city needs more parking downtown?

There should be FREE parking downtown. The increased sales tax / property tax revenue would more than compensate for any net profits the city receives from fines/meters.

Personally, I will not go downtown and plug a meter if I can avoid it. And don't tell me how many free spaces there are if I just drive around parking lots looking for a spot and constantly look at my watch as not to spend more than 2 hours at any given spot.

There is plenty of free parking at the garage on 9th and New Hampshire. My god, it's not that far to walk to any point of Mass st. from that location either.

The first summer (and last) I worked downtown, my car got two door dings and got a nice 2 inch gash from someone keying it.

Nah, I park uptown the one or two times a year I need to go there.
